We handle both electricity and gas contracts across the small market and large market (commercial and industrial). Whether you have a single site or a multi-site portfolio, we tailor the tender process to your usage profile, demand characteristics, and contract requirements.

When should I start reviewing my energy contract?

Ideally, three to six months before your current contract expires. This gives us enough time to analyse your usage, run a competitive tender, negotiate terms, and complete the changeover without rushing. If you're unsure when your contract ends, we can find out for you as part of our initial review.

Will switching retailers disrupt my energy supply?

No. Switching retailers is a billing and contract change, not a physical change to your supply. The same network delivers your electricity regardless of which retailer you're contracted with. We manage the transition so there's no interruption to your operations.

What information do you need to get started?

A recent energy bill is the quickest starting point. It gives us your NMI (National Metering Identifier), your current rates, your usage history, and your contract details. For larger or more complex sites, 12 months of billing data or interval data helps us model your usage more accurately.

Do you work with embedded networks?

Yes. We work with embedded network operators and body corporates to review supply arrangements, assess retail options, and manage procurement across the network. Our partners bring specific experience in this area across the National Electricity Market.

What happens when my contract is up for renewal?

If you're on our Ongoing Energy Support service, we proactively manage the renewal process for you. We monitor your contract timeline, review market conditions, and go to tender again before your contract expires. If you're not on ongoing support, we're always happy to re-engage for a new procurement cycle.

How is Energy Scope different from an energy comparison website?

Comparison websites are designed for quick, volume-based switching. They work well for small businesses with simple usage. For commercial and industrial operations with demand charges, complex tariff structures, and multi-site portfolios, you need a structured tender process with independent analysis. That's what we do. We review the full picture, not just the headline rate.

Do you install solar panels and EV chargers yourselves?

We don’t do the physical installation. We manage the entire process on your behalf, from scoping and design through to contractor selection, project coordination, and commissioning. This keeps our advice independent because we’re not tied to any particular product or installer.

How do I know which upgrade to prioritise?

We always start with your goals. From there, we run a feasibility assessment to determine what makes sense and what doesn’t. You’ll receive clear options with realistic budgets and returns, so the decision is yours to make with confidence. In many cases, an energy audit is the best first step because it gives us the data to prioritise effectively.

Absolutely. Some clients come to us for advisory and feasibility only, while others want end-to-end project delivery. We tailor the scope to what you need. If you already have a design and just need help with procurement and project management, that works too.
